This page explains how the data collected through the site’s comments and ratings feature is handled.
Data controller
The data controller is Diego Colombatto, owner of this personal recipe site. For any request about your data (including deleting a comment), use the “Manage your data” form at the bottom of this page.
What we collect
When you leave a comment or a rating we collect:
- the name you provide (shown publicly next to the comment);
- your email address (never published, used only to manage comments);
- the comment text and the star rating;
- a technical identifier derived from your IP address (stored hashed, not in clear), used only to limit spam.
Why we collect it and on what basis
We process this data to manage and moderate the site’s comments, on the basis of your consent, given by ticking the dedicated box before sending. You can withdraw consent at any time by asking for your comment to be deleted (see below).
Where the data lives
Comments are stored on Amazon Web Services infrastructure, in a database located in the European Union (Ireland, eu-west-1). Data is not transferred outside the European Union.
How long
Comments remain while the recipe page is online, unless you request deletion.
Your rights
You can at any time request to access, rectify or delete your data using the “Manage your data” form at the bottom of this page. Deleting the comment removes the associated name, email and technical identifier.
Cookies
This feature uses no tracking or profiling cookies. Your browser may remember your name and email locally so you don’t have to retype them: an optional convenience, not a tracking cookie.
Anti-spam protection (Cloudflare Turnstile)
